Bare root roses are available to order year-round, with deliveries scheduled during the dormant season, typically from November 1st to March 31st, weather permitting. During these cooler months, roses naturally enter a state of dormancy, allowing them to be safely lifted from the ground and supplied without soil around their roots. This method has long been considered the optimal time for purchasing and planting roses. A bare root rose planted during its dormant period has ample opportunity to establish a robust root system before the warmer months arrive, enabling it to channel all its energy into producing beautiful flowers throughout the summer.

Beyond the horticultural advantages, choosing bare root roses also offers several environmental benefits. They eliminate the need for plastic pots, reducing waste, and their smaller, lighter packaging contributes to a lower carbon footprint during transportation. When planting, ensure the roots are well-hydrated before placing them in a prepared hole, allowing enough space for root spread. Backfill with enriched soil, firming gently, and water thoroughly to settle the soil around the roots.
