Kokedama Workshop

Create your very own kokedama — a moss-wrapped plant that sits somewhere between a sculpture and houseplant, and is completely unique to you. Using a traditional Japanese technique, the plant’s roots are formed into a soil ball, wrapped in moss and tied to create a living piece that can be displayed in a dish or hung to enjoy at home.

Ticket price includes all of the materials, a hot drink of your choice and a slice of cake from our Rosarium Restaurant.

Terrarium Workshop

Terrarium Workshop

Join us for a practical workshop looking at terraria, and learn to build one successfully yourself. We’ll discuss the choice of container, drainage, substrate layers, planting method and the use of decorative materials, exploring how to plant for both appearance and plant health.
We’ll also discuss how to choose suitable plants, considering light, humidity, growth habit and long-term maintenance. Watering will be covered in detail, including condensation, air flow and the signs that a terrarium is becoming too wet or too dry. Common problems, pests and diseases will also be discussed, along with simple ways to prevent them.
You will leave with your own planted terrarium to take home, and a clear understanding of how to care for it afterwards. Spaces are limited- early booking is recommended.
