RNLI 200th With Courage

RNLI Floribunda Rose – A Tribute in Coppery-Orange and Yellow Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2024 Key Features Clusters of coppery-orange blooms: Each double flower opens from salmon-tipped buds, revealing petals with a vibrant coppery-orange heart, pink outer tones, and yellow accents at the base. Colour transformation: As the blooms age, they fade to a delicate peach, and the sweet apple scent intensifies with the revealing of golden stamens. Glossy mid-green foliage: The plant’s healthy, shiny leaves provide a striking backdrop to the ever-changing flowers. Height and habit: Compact and repeat-flowering, this rose grows to approximately 3 feet (90cm) tall. It’s ideal for the middle of a mixed border, surrounded by Nepeta or Salvias. Versatile growth: Occasional long shoots allow it to be trained as a small climber on an obelisk, wall, or shed, creating a staggered bloom effect. Perfect for pots and cut flowers: Suitable for containers and patio displays, and excellent for cutting. Bred by Peter Beales Roses: A unique British rose, officially launched for the RNLI at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024. Colour & Feeding Advice Colour range: This rose will vary between yellow and orange, echoing the RNLI’s iconic wellies and lifeboats. Influence of feeding and soil: The intensity and shade of the blooms depend on your feed programme and soil conditions. Feeding with Maxicrop liquid seaweed plus iron can intensify the colour. Why the RNLI Chose This Rose The RNLI selected this rose because its colour spectrum reflects both the yellow of their wellies and the orange of their boats and lifebuoys, making it a meaningful tribute. Support the RNLI Charity support: £5 from the sale of this rose will be paid in support of the RNLI. Payments are made to RNLI (Sales) Ltd, which pays all its taxable profits to the RNLI, a charity registered in England and Wales (209603), Scotland (SC037736), the Republic of Ireland (CHY 2678 and 20003326), the Bailiwick of Jersey (14), the Isle of Man (1308 and 006329F), and the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Alderney of West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset BH15 1HZ. Its compact, versatile habit and repeat flowering make it perfect for borders, containers, and as a symbol of support for the RNLI.
