Sunshine Babylon Eyes

Sunshine Babylon Eyes is a compact and vividly multicoloured shrub rose whose semi-double blooms display yellow petals edged in pink with a striking red “eye” at the centre. This easy-care, repeat-flowering variety brings a tropical-inspired twist to borders or pots with its cheerful colour and low-maintenance habit.

Sadler’s Wells

Unique to us in the UK. Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 1983. (Modern Shrub) This is a fine, continuous flowering shrub. The semi-single flowers are produced in large, well-spaced clusters on a vigorous plant. The background colour is silvery-pink but each petal is laced with cherry red edging. A fine sight in full bloom.

Rosa Mundi

(Gallica) A striking and very old, bushy rose. The large, semi-double blooms have splashes of pink and white on a crimson background.

Plaisanterie

(Hybrid China Musk) Beautiful semi-double yellow and pink blooms that age to rose pink. Borne in large clusters amid semi-glossy reddish-purple foliage.

Lyda Rose

(Modern Shrub) Single, white, pink edged blooms in abundance. Foliage is dark and healthy.

Joseph's Coat

(Climber) Loosely double flowers are a mixture of shades but basically a deep orange and yellow. Borne in clusters on a thorny upright plant with light green glossy leaves.

Honorine De Brabant

(Bourbon) A beautiful striped rose in delicate shades of lilac with purple markings, especially good in Autumn.

Guy Savoy

(Modern Shrub) A healthy, glossy rose with large clusters of semi-double, scented blooms of strong pink, white and mauve stripes.

Ferdinand Pichard

(Hybrid Perpetual) One of the most attractive of the striped varieties. Double, pink and crimson flowers with a lovely scented, freely produced amid luscious foliage.

Evelyn May

(Modern Shrub) Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2000. The flowers are a pleasing mixture of orange, salmon and yellow with a fragrant perfume. Foliage is dark green and glossy.

Clementina Carbonieri

(Tea) An interesting combination of rich colours. Yellow, orange, pink and salmon, sounds vulgar but is actually a very lovely rose with good foliage for a Tea.

Ballerina (Bush)

(Hybrid Musk) Large sprays of small single, pink blooms with a white centre.

Archiduc Joseph

(Tea) A mixture of pinks with purple and orange with a paler centre. An unusual rose. Very vigorous.

York and Lancaster

(Damask) Unique to us in the UK. 'Rosa damascena versicolor'. Perfumed, blush white flowers, striped or mottled with pink. Needs very good soil to do well. More a collector's piece than of real garden merit. Of unknown origin, pre 1551.

Walferdange

(Hybrid Musk) Cupped, carmine pink blended cream, double blooms in clusters, with dark green foliage. Almost thornless and hardy.

Village Maid

(Centifolia) 'Variegata', 'Belles des Jardins', 'La RubanÃ��Ã�©e'. A free flowering, unique rose of white striped lilac. Vigorous and thorny.

Grandmere Jenny

(H.T.) Peach and goldenyellow, flushed pink. Free flowering and healthy. A shapely rose. Well worth growing.

Fruhligs Morgen

(Modern Shrub) Medium, single flowers of cherry pink with primrose centres. Occasionally recurrent. A superb shrub.

Baron Girod De L'Ain

(Hybrid Perpetual) An interesting rose of bright crimson red with white edging to each petal. Fragrant.

Blush Damask

(Damask) A sweet little rose of pale pink with deeper centres. Highly scented. Tolerant of most soils. Probably a very old variety.
