St. Ethelburga

(Modern Classic shrub) Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2003. A healthy and vigorous, soft pink, highly scented rose in the old fashioned style of large, double, cupped blooms. We are delighted to introduce this rose on the request of The Worshipful Company of Gardeners. It is named for the church of the same name in Bishopsgate London. Largely destroyed by a bomb it is now restored and is to be a Centre for Peace and Reconciliation. The soft pink flowers are full and very old fashioned and have a wonderful strong fragrance. Mid green ample foliage.
