Unique to us in the UK. Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2006. (Modern Shrub) An unusual but charming rose, large fully double scented flowers of soft yellow with pastel pink stripes as if painted with a brush. The blooms are freely produced in clusters all summer through. Growth, bushy and slightly arching, which could easily be adapted as a climber.

Sadler’s Wells

Unique to us in the UK. Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 1983. (Modern Shrub) This is a fine, continuous flowering shrub. The semi-single flowers are produced in large, well-spaced clusters on a vigorous plant. The background colour is silvery-pink but each petal is laced with cherry red edging. A fine sight in full bloom.

The Perse Rose

Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2015. Large fully double, multi headed,deep pink blooms, with a delicate fragrance. Mid green glossy foliage, with a relaxed growth habit this could be grown as a small pillar rose. This rose was named for The Perse School, who commenced their 400 year celebrations on 30th September 2015. Nearly 400 years ago the academic, physician and philanthropist Dr Perse left a legacy to change lives through education. The school established in his name, with a direct link to the University, is Cambridge’s oldest surviving secondary school and open to children from all backgrounds.

This rose is named after a dear little girl, Indiana Perry, who died of a brain tumour aged only 5.

Unique to us in the UK. Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2004. (Modern Shrub)  Named for Peter Beales' late wife and co-founder of Peter Beales Roses. The semi-double blooms are elegant in form, deep velvety red with a super fragrance. Dark foliage is healthy with beetroot tinted young growth. A beautiful rose.

We are very proud to introduce this lovely scented shrub rose as part of the celebrations commemorating the four hundredth anniversary of 'The Worshipful Company of Gardeners'. This rose is a healthy, medium to short shrub rose of champagne to soft apricot colour with lots of superb, light green, glossy foliage. Its unique colouring fills a gap in the current range of available modern shrub roses.

Francis Copple

Modern Shrub. Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2010. A lovely semi-double rose of coppery yellow, paling to primrose yellow as the flower ages. Very free flowers throughout the summer. Fragrant. Foliage large and glossy. A delight planted in small groups or even as short hedge. If the late summer flowers are not deadheaded it will produce a good crop of orange oval hips. Named for a Metropolitan Policeman who loved roses.

Ely Cathedral

(Shrub Rose) Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2018. A repeat flowering modern shrub rose that produces attractive multi-headed displays of fully double, ruffled, pillar-box red blooms. Perfect for a mixed border. 

Chewton Rose

Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2014. Beautiful, large, semi-double rosy red blooms on this exquisite bush are repeated well and borne in clusters. The foliage is dark and healthy. This rose has been bred exclusively for Chewton Rose Estate Agency, as they intend to gift their clients with the rose to welcome them into their new home. 

Countess of Wessex

(Modern Shrub) Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2004. The full, cream coloured flowers are large and very highly scented, opening from pointed buds to display golden yellow stamens. Foliage is dark and glossy on a dense plant of excellent health and vigour.

The Churchill Rose

(Modern Shrub) Bred by Peter Beales Roses and released in 2011. Free flowering shrub rose with large, cupped semi-doublea beautiful and unique shade of apricot. Healthy and abundant mid green glossy foliage.

Cocktail

(Modern Shrub) A very bright rose with clusters of single flowers on an upright plant. The colour is yellow and red, the red intensifying with age.

Capel Manor House

Bred by Beales and released in 2012. Deep, blood red, semi double flowers with white stripes on younger petals, subtle fragrance and strong growth. This makes an good shrub rose for the middle or back of the border, but could be grown as a small climber with support. Healthy foliage of good colour with average thorns. Named for the distinguished garden and Horticultural College in Enfield. Will suit most soil types including poorer soils. Will grow best in a sunny or lightly shaded aspect. Repeat flowers throughout the summer: for best results keep well watered and feed throughout the summer with a propriety rose feed like 'Top Rose'. A mulch of well rotted manure will help conserve moisture and improve soil structure.

(Modern Shrub) This pleasingly scented, double, pale pink rose would look amazing planted en masse or in a border. Dark shiny healthy leaves.
