Chelsea Flower Show

30th Chelsea Flower Show

In 2025, Peter Beales Roses proudly achieved a landmark moment in its long and celebrated history being awarded our 30th Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

This incredible milestone marked not only a triumph for this year’s display but also a reflection of our deep-rooted legacy and continued excellence in rose growing and garden design. Since our first appearance at Chelsea in 1983, Peter Beales Roses has become synonymous with quality, heritage, and horticultural artistry.

Our 2025 display was a true labour of love  the result of months of meticulous planning, design, and hard work by our dedicated team. Each element was thoughtfully chosen to showcase the beauty, resilience, and romance of the rose, brought together in a show-stopping exhibit that captured the admiration of judges and visitors alike.

To be recognised with our 30th Gold Medal is a tremendous honour and a testament to the passion and expertise of everyone at Peter Beales Roses, past and present. It celebrates over four decades of exhibiting at Chelsea and highlights our ongoing commitment to pushing boundaries while preserving the timeless charm of the rose.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to all who have supported us on our journey — from loyal customers and rose enthusiasts to the RHS and fellow horticulturists.

This Gold Medal stands as a symbol of our heritage, our values, and our future — and we look forward to many more golden years to come.

29th Chelsea Flower Show Gold

At Peter Beales Roses, we are thrilled to announce our latest achievement and collaboration that perfectly embodies our commitment to horticultural excellence and charitable causes. We are proud to have secured our 29th Gold award at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show, a testament to our enduring legacy of quality and innovation in rose cultivation.

This year's success is particularly meaningful as it coincides with our partnership with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to commemorate their 200th anniversary. We've had the honour of creating a stunning new rose, 'RNLI 200th With Courage', a coppery-orange Floribunda bush rose with a sweet apple fragrance. This exquisite bloom not only celebrates the RNLI's bicentenary but also aims to raise over £40,000 to support their vital lifesaving work.

Our display at Chelsea was truly spectacular, featuring a retired RNLI D class inshore lifeboat as the centrepiece, surrounded by a sea of our magnificent roses. This unique exhibit, spanning over 100 square meters in the Great Pavilion, beautifully showcased our partnership with the RNLI and offered countless photo opportunities for visitors.

We're especially proud that 20% of the proceeds from the sale of 'RNLI 200th With Courage' will directly support the RNLI's indispensable resources, including crew, kit, and lifeboats. This collaboration is particularly close to our hearts, as our Nursery Manager, Ian Limmer, has a personal connection to the RNLI through his grandfather, who volunteered at Sheringham Lifeboat Station for 30 years.

As we celebrate this flourishing new partnership, we invite rose enthusiasts and supporters of the RNLI to pre-order 'RNLI 200th With Courage' for delivery in November 2025. Together, we can contribute to the RNLI's noble cause while enjoying the beauty of this specially bred rose in our gardens.

Our Chelsea Journey

Our history at Chelsea began in the early 1970s, with our first recorded medal being a Bronze Flora in 1973. Throughout the years, we've steadily improved our displays, earning Silver and Silver-Gilt medals before achieving our first Gold in 1989.

Since then, we've consistently delivered world-class exhibits, showcasing the best of our rose collection and introducing new varieties. Our displays have become a highlight of the Great Pavilion, drawing visitors from around the world to admire our meticulously crafted presentations.

Each year, we use the Chelsea Flower Show as a platform to launch our newest rose varieties, many of which have gone on to become beloved classics in gardens worldwide. Our exhibits not only demonstrate our horticultural skills but also our artistic flair in creating breathtaking floral displays.

Our success at Chelsea is a result of the dedication and expertise of our team, led by our Nursery Manager Ian Limmer, who has been instrumental in our Chelsea journey since 19774. Ian's passion for roses and his deep knowledge of horticulture have been key factors in our consistent Gold medal performances.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to upholding our legacy of excellence at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, continuing to inspire and delight garden enthusiasts with our stunning rose displays and innovative new varieties.
